The lojong cards featured in this boxed set have been used and cherished by many Buddhist practitioners and spiritual seekers of all sorts for years. Now these popular cards are available in a stand-alone format, priced to appeal to gift givers and collectors.
Even if this is your first set of Inspiration, Motivational, Mantra Cards or anything similar, this set is a great choice when starting out.
Lojong is a classic set of Buddhist teachings or slogans from the Tibetan tradition for cultivating positive qualities in one’s life, such as compassion, fearlessness, altruism, and happiness. And interest in this practice has been growing–originally popularised in the West with such books as Training the Mind and Cultivating Loving-Kindness and Start Where You Are.
These cards are gorgeous to look at and are simple and easy to use and read. I like to draw a card from the deck, and display it for a few days, checking in and reading both the 'lesson' and the 'comnentary'.
In this card set, Pema’s commentaries on the reverse of each card offer her uniquely accessible insights on how to make the teachings really workable in one’s life.
These cards make for a perfect gift for anyone seeking spiritual inspiration, both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.
Our Tarot & Oracle Library includes a bunch of different authors, including some pretty cool Aussies! Whether you're new to buying cards, or you've been using them for years, you are welcome to join my VIP Lounge. I try to use our new cards as they arrive, and old favourites are featured also. You should never be afraid to try something new - you can do anything.
- The answer is a resounding yes!
- The short answer is that oracle cards give you the opportunity to find a more deeply intuitive reading, probs because there is no real tradition to the cards. Tarot is more structured, and can take some time to learn. That being said, you can most definitely pick up a tarot deck and understand what they are telling you!
- All of our decks come with guidebooks designed to do absolutely that - to teach and guide you on your divination journey. I recommend oracle cards to anyone who is starting out - you can make them be whatever you want them to be - which will inspire you to try and keep practising.
